Inspiration

Where does inspiration come from? Many customers ask how I envision the final product from a worn or neglected piece. My response is simply, "I just see it." This ability comes from years of refining my skills, but it also involves a mental checklist when evaluating a piece for refurbishing.

I ask myself: Does it need major repairs to be stable? If so, I usually pass on it. Does it have appealing lines that catch my eye? Can it be updated to suit modern homes? Does it fit current trends?

Once I answer these questions, I can determine if a piece can be restored to its original beauty or transformed into something unique. Lately, I've become more selective in my choices. Just because a piece can be fixed doesn't mean it aligns with my brand. I want each item to have a distinct signature and serve as a focal point in any room. It always brings me joy when someone appreciates my vision and incorporates it into their home.
